Job responsibilities
Shift Details: 19.45 - 08.00
As a Care Assistant, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents, and assist residents with their personal hygiene. You will recognise and understand clinical risk areas and act courteously towards residents and their visitors. Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training program to help you grow in a caring, supportive environment.
* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risks in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalating identified risks promptly.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
About You

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful toward residents and others in the home.

* Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

* No prior experience is required; Avery offers a thorough induction and training program to ensure confidence in the role. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect toward residents and other people in the home, be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions, and be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
