Job Title: Nursery Teacher
Location: Derby (DE3)
Salary: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a nurturing Nursery Teacher passionate about early childhood development?
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teachers to work in schools across Derby (DE3).
As a Nursery Teacher, you will create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can develop key early skills in communication, social interaction, and independence.
Responsibilities of a Nursery Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
* Support children’s early development in communication, literacy, and numeracy
* Use play-based and creative approaches to encourage learning
* Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
* Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Work closely with teaching assistants and staff to support learning
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Requirements of a Nursery Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working within a Nursery or EYFS setting is desirable
* Strong understanding of early years development and curriculum
* A patient, caring, and creative approach
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A genuine passion for early years education
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
