STEM Teacher Salary: Teachers Mainscale - Upper Scale, £32,916 - £51,048 per annum Full time – 32.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Education Stage: Key Stage 2 & 3 Subject: STEM Woodfield Academy joined the Bordesley MAT from Easter 2022. We work closely with Trinity High School, Birchensale Middle School and Holyoakes First School in a very localised MAT focusing on the development of children in Redditch. Working together as part of the three-tier system we aspire to improve the educational offer for the local community. Woodfield Academy sits at the heart of Redditch. The buildings and grounds are extensive and we are very lucky to learn in the buildings we have. The pupils have access to all the facilities from Year 5 which make the three-tier system unique in that pupils receive specialist teaching in the foundation subjects. We are well equipped with two Science labs, a designated technology block with cooking and resistant materials equipment, a library, a gym, a main hall with staging for performances, 2 ICT suites and a full size astro-turf which is the envy of the local community. The Governors and Headteacher are looking to appoint a forward thinking teacher who has up to date knowledge of the latest strategies to improve progress for all pupils in STEM. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with leaders in Science, Maths and Computing to put STEM at the forefront of the Academy and to share the common goal of becoming a leading educational establishment within Worcestershire. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum qualification of Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) Minimum of 1 year teaching experience Strong knowledge and understanding of STEM subjects Ability to create engaging lesson plans that integrate cross-curricular topics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Values and Attitudes: Passionate about inspiring young minds through innovative teaching methods Committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians What Woodfield Academy can offer: A free health care plan from simply health making sure you are always assured that your own physical and mental health is our priority.
