Responsibilities
* To assess learner needs/skills through pre-course assessments, develop an ILP with SMART goals to address barriers/skills needs. Deliver outstanding, personalised, accredited/non-accredited interventions with embedded personal/social development to help prepare learners for further learning/employment/improved confidence.
* Pre-course assessments and Planning: Administer screeners, initial and diagnostics assessments for each learner, and subsequently develop and maintain tailored ILPs (inc. action plans) to include SMART targets; plan lessons effectively and ensure activities are innovative and differentiated towards individual learners and that learner support is effectively assessed, reviewed, implemented, and evaluated throughout the learner’s journey.
* Training Delivery: Deliver accredited and/or non-accredited training programmes to 19+ adults in subject areas required for contract requirements; train, assess, motivate, mentor and support learners; deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment; promote and deliver training in accordance with qualification and centre guidelines; embed Maths, English, Digital, Soft Skills and Personal Development Behaviour & Attitudes (PDBA) themes as required; provide effective additional support to learners with additional learning needs.
* Supporting Learners: Undertake regular and meaningful reviews with learners to ensure engagement and progress relative to initial targets and address emergent needs.
* Record Keeping: Maintain learner records accurately (hard copy and electronic) and ensure evidence for all visits is available for audit and quality purposes.
* Caseload Management: Use MIS (including ILR) data to track learner progress against ILP and KPIs; address trends towards shortfalls via one-to-ones and action plans; monitor attendance and progression to enable qualification achievement.
* Quality Assurance: Contribute to development, implementation and monitoring of key documents, policies and procedures; implement improvements identified from performance reviews and internal quality assurance; participate in standardisation and team meetings and CPD activities (observations of teaching & learning).
* Professional Development: Maintain professional knowledge; collect and respond to learner and stakeholder feedback; participate in staff reviews and performance management to identify and meet training needs for self and others.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold a minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) and where required, subject-specific qualifications and/or occupational knowledge/experience to support the training.
* Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or equivalent
* Business Admin and Customer Service
* English and Maths to at least Functional Skills level
Desirable
* CTTLS
* Level 4 Award in the Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice or equivalent
* Experience using online learning platforms and portfolios
Individual Competencies
* Experience of deploying motivational strategies to develop individuals
* Proven experience of adult or work-based learning, teaching and assessment
* Proven track record of delivering funded employability programmes (including accredited and non-accredited qualifications) with complex learners
* IT literate in Microsoft Office 365 and modern digital technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
* Experience of managing and supporting colleagues and learners face-to-face and remotely
* Experience of working with the unemployed on programmes that facilitate positive outcomes
* Ability to plan and organise own caseload and diary unsupervised
* A strong team player with excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal & external stakeholders
* Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards; ability to meet and exceed retention and achievement targets; manage learner numbers in line with budgets
* Excellent presentation skills; reliable with a good sickness record; commitment to quality and customers
* Training to be delivered face-to-face (at Maximus site or employer/outreach premises) and/or online (webinars)
* Flexible work availability, including some evenings and weekends
* Undertake other tasks appropriate to the post and comply with Maximus policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Travel Requirements
* Willingness to travel and work across Bradford, Leeds & Huddersfield to meet contract requirements for delivery
* Full driving licence and vehicle owner (Desirable)

Salary
Minimum Salary: £28,800.00; Maximum Salary: £33,800.00
