Role Profile: We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Client Reconciliation Officer to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of client transactions by reconciling accounts on a regular basis. This position will play a key role in following financial controls, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that client reports are completed with accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Perform weekly POS reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and balanced. Perform monthly client cashbook reconciliations across a portfolio of over 350 schemes. As part of this, perform bank reconciliations and investigate unreconciled items in a timely manner Prepare and submit client payments on our banking system Daily reconciliation of cashbooks items Daily submission of Direct debit requests Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, working closely with the relevant departments to correct any issues. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Maintain an organised system of financial records for easy retrieval and reference. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reconciliation. Proven experience in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with experience in preparing and reviewing reconciliations. Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain financial discrepancies to non-financial colleagues. Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Smartbill, NAV) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle large volumes of data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial discrepancies.
