Senior Data Analyst – Symphony
Symphony is expanding its Business Intelligence capabilities (BI) and is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Product organization. Across the Symphony organization, the BI team plays a pivotal role in our company’s data‑driven decision‑making process.
* Support the Product Management team to prioritize efforts to increase end user engagement and improve product performance.
* Assist customer facing teams to define their commercial strategy and adapt it to each customer. Deliver understanding around product usage (user centric), product performance (component centric) and customer contextual data.
* Contribute to the Symphony Analytics program – a set of analytics capabilities delivered directly to customers. This role blends technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders.
* Support the Finance and Executive teams by providing insights to monitor company performance and guide strategic decisions.
As a Senior Data Analyst we expect you to be:
* Avid Data Cruncher: able to gather, clean, and analyze very large datasets; can identify data patterns and anomalies; understands the qualitative context behind the data.
* Excellent Methodologist: versed in analytics methodologies and knows when to apply appropriate statistical methods to meet business requirements.
* Articulate Storyteller: capable of presenting complex results simply and communicating key insights to diverse audiences; produces compelling visualizations.
* Curious AI Explorer: keen on leveraging AI/ML to enhance data analysis, automate processes, and uncover predictive insights; eager to experiment with new tools.
* Passionate Team Player: collaborates effectively with colleagues across the organization to turn data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform rigorous analysis of large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Design dynamic data dashboards and presentations to enable users to explore data autonomously.
* Respond to ad hoc requests from internal or external customers in a fast‑paced environment.
* Build, maintain, and improve data models, forecast models, dashboards, and data pipelines.
* Create and manage complex SQL queries and translate results into production‑ready reports using DOMO.
* Coordinate product instrumentation with Product Managers, Engineering and QA from conception through insight generation.
* Implement AI models for predictive and automated processes to communicate data changes to users and provide timely insights.
* Educate Symphony collaborators to become data driven in their day‑to‑day work.
Required Qualifications
* Master / MBA (bac+5) in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, data science or analytics, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, product manager or consultant in financial or tech sectors.
* Strong data analysis skills with a track record of deriving actionable insights.
* Mastery in one or more data visualization tools (DOMO, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
* Excellent problem framing, problem solving and project management skills.
* Excellent SQL skills and data transformation (ETLs, data flows).
* Experience with predictive analytics, ML algorithms, and business forecasting.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.
* Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SaaS companies.
* Experience working with remote teams.
* Experience with agile methods in fast‑paced environments.
* Knowledge of data analytics languages/tools (R, Python, Jupyter).
* Experience deploying or integrating AI/ML models.
* Experience in a customer‑facing role.
* French language skills are a plus.
