Are you an experienced forklift operator looking to step into a more responsible, hands-on role? Were looking for a proactive and reliable Lead Multi Skilled Forklift Driver to play a key role in keeping our yard operations running safely, smoothly and efficiently.This a new role in the business and is a varied, practical role where no two days are the same. Youll work closely with the Shift Supervisor, support and guide other drivers, and take pride in maintaining a safe, well-organised siteWorking hours 06:30am - 7:00pm on a Panama shift patternThe positionSupporting the Shift Supervisor with the day-to-day coordination of yard operationsActing as the go-to person for forklift drivers during your shift, offering guidance and supportTraining and mentoring new team members, helping them develop safe and efficient working practicesOperating forklifts and other handling equipment to move, load and unload produce and materialsEnsuring all loads are secure and that people, equipment and buildings are protectedMaintaining a safe working environment by monitoring activity and reporting hazards or near missesKeeping the yard clean, organised and running efficiently at all timesUsing scanners to maintain full traceability of product movements on and off sitePreparing product for dispatch, including boxes, bags and bulk loadsManage pallet movements and empty crate outloadingOperating additional machinery such as telehandlers, shunters, scissor lifts and compactors(training provided where required)Completing routine equipment checks and paperwork, reporting defects promptlyAssisting with general site maintenance and supporting other departments when needed?
Person specificationValid Counterbalance (B1) 3.5t forklift licence7-tonne forklift (B2) licenceTelehandler licenceComfortable working with ramps, scissor lifts, shunters and Swift LiftsStrong awareness of health and safety in a yard settingPhysically fit, with good mobility and the ability to judge weights, distances and heightsFlexible approach and ability to adapt to changing prioritiesProven experience in a fast-paced yard or warehouse environment?
