Overview
Advance your Career as a Psychological Therapist in Aberdeen City. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Psychology Practitioner/CBT Therapist to work in Primary Care Adult Mental Health in Aberdeen City. This post is primarily aimed at providing a service for adults with common mild to moderate mental health problems (Tier 2) presenting in Primary Care. Work will primarily be conducted within GP surgeries or other Primary Care health facilities or online working from home using Attend Anywhere VDO platform.
Responsibilities
* Assess and provide psychological therapy for patients with a range of mild to moderate mental health problems including depression and a range of anxiety disorders.
* Deliver interventions in line with best practice as identified by The Matrix.
* Develop strong links with Social Care and Third Sector partners.
* Utilise high-level psychological therapy skills, with appropriate qualifications and clinical placement experience as required by the post.
* Work location may include GP surgeries, Primary Care facilities, or online delivery.
Qualifications
* High-level skills in psychological therapy, e.g., MSc in Psychological Therapy in Primary Care or a PG Diploma in CBT (or equivalent).
* Post-qualification experience desirable but not essential, provided training included substantial clinical placement practice.
Additional information
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to the successful candidate.
