Purchasing Manager
High-Growth D2C Brand
London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
£40,000–£50,000 + bonus + stock options

As the Purchasing Manager, you’ll own end‑to‑end purchasing and inbound supply operations, from demand forecasting and supplier management through to freight, inventory health, and stock availability. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring products are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and sourced cost‑effectively as the business scales at pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Owning demand forecasting across all channels, factoring in sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and NPD
Translating forecasts into clear purchasing and ordering plans
Managing the full purchase order lifecycle, creation, placement, tracking, amendments, and closure
Acting as the primary operational contact for suppliers across Thailand, Vietnam, and future regions
Monitoring supplier performance (OTD, quality, reliability) and driving continuous improvement
Coordinating inbound freight (ocean, air, and road) and managing freight forwarder relationships
Owning customs documentation and ensuring full import compliance
Liaising daily with the 3PL to ensure accurate goods‑in, inventory integrity, and smooth operations
Managing stock availability, identifying supply risks early and preventing stock‑outs or excess inventory
Tracking landed costs and supporting cost optimisation initiatives
Producing weekly operational reporting across POs, shipments, supplier KPIs, and inventory health
Driving process improvements across purchasing systems, workflows, documentation, and reporting
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement (FMCG/food)
Strong experience in demand planning and purchasing execution
Proven experience working with international suppliers and managing imports/customs
Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills with strong attention to detail
Experience coordinating international freight (ocean & air)
Highly organised, proactive, and process‑driven
Clear, confident communicator who escalates risks early and solves problems pragmatically
