Overview:
We are partnering with a leading national housebuilder renowned for delivering high-quality homes across the UK. With a robust pipeline of projects and a commitment to excellence, they are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage commercial and financial aspects of assigned residential projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and compliance with legal and quality standards.
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents, conducting feasibility studies to assess material, time, and labour costs.
* Appoint and manage subcontractors, negotiating contracts to ensure resource availability and adherence to quality targets.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring projects meet desired quality standards and budget constraints.
* Collaborate with internal departments to achieve project targets and produce accurate valuation reports for informed decision-making.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying within the housebuilding industry.
* Strong understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and business plans.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full UK driving licence.
