We are looking for a suitably experienced Operations Manager for a role based in Bishop Stortford, covering a patch across Hertfordshire and Essex. The role is to lead a mixed housing portfolio across our Client's Central region. You’ll lead brilliant team alongside experienced colleagues who’ll challenge and inspire you. What you’ll do * Lead performance across rented, leasehold and supported housing in the Central region * Work closely with colleagues to lead teams of Service Managers and Senior Housing Managers to deliver great outcomes for customers * Manage your own portfolio and specialist strands with real scope to grow * Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all service strands * Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support our strategy You’ll join a team that’s collaborative, experienced and genuinely supportive and you’ll have the freedom to shape your role, grow your skills and make a real impact. You will need - * Experience managing housing services in rented, leasehold and/or supported settings. * You’ll ideally have – or be working towards CiH Level 4. * Supreme leadership skills and a track record of developing brilliant teams and ensuring a high-performance culture * Knowledge of housing regulations and compliance requirements * A laser sharp commercial lens, ability to manage budgets and interpret complex financial data * Great communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills You’ll manage your own diary and we’re open to agree a working pattern with you. Typically working on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our local services or out in our communities, with the rest from home. As you’re covering a large geographical patch there will be a fair bit of travel to our services and teams. You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes (on the job mileage covered) This is a temporary role set to run until February 2026
