Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Dietitian based at Ailsa Hospital, however there will be a move of base to Prestwick in the coming months. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours:
36 hours per week.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence:
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Dietitian to join our team of Dietitians and Assistant Practitioners who cover South Ayrshire currently based form Ailsa Hospital, Ayr. Whilst delivering a community based service to Biggart Community Hospital in Prestwick in the area of stroke rehabilitation, you will also be part of the team delivering to GP Practice clinics, associated domiciliary visits and local Care Homes. The team are aligned to 4 Localities within the South Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:
You should possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide a generalist clinical service also, deliver education & training for the multi-disciplinary team and condition related groups including health improvement initiatives where appropriate. This can be achieved through personal development as required. In addition you will support uni-professional and Paramedic practice placements.
The team are currently considering our model and how we can provide a quality assured service that meets the needs of our communities. This means you can be instrumental in helping to shape our future service.
