Science Technician - Secondary School - Slough
Start Date: September Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Pay: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)
A well-regarded secondary school in Slough is seeking a Science Technician to join their busy and supportive Science department. This full-time role is ideal for graduates or experienced technicians with a strong science background who are looking to support practical learning in a school environment.
The school has a strong emphasis on STEM education and practical-based learning, with well-equipped laboratories and a collaborative Science team. As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring lessons run smoothly by preparing materials, maintaining equipment and supporting safe practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare equipment, materials and resources for Science lessons Support teachers during practical experiments Ensure laboratories are fully stocked, safe and well maintained Assist with setting up demonstrations and experiments across KS3 and KS4 * Maintain health and safety standards within the Science department
The Ideal Candidate: A degree in Science or a related subject is desirable (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry or Physics practical work Good organisational and time-management skills A proactive and reliable approach to work * Experience in a lab or school environment is advantageous
