Our state-of-the-art facilities provide a more sustainable option to process residual waste that would otherwise have been directed to landfill. This utilisation of residual waste provides an essential and sustainable alternative to support baseload electrical production, supplement district heat demand and other practical resources to accelerate the circular economy of the future. Encyclis currently has under construction the Protos Energy Recovery Facility in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Further to the operating units in Milton Keynes, and Loughborough, this is the third project within the UK. We offer fantastic benefits here! Where you will be working Encyclis Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is located within the Protos energy and resource hub, near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire. Currently under construction, when complete, this impressive two-line facility will have the capacity to divert up to 500,000 tonnes of residual waste away from landfill every year, generating sustainable electricity for up to 90,000 homes. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and working closely alongside the Operations and Maintenance teams, the Stores Inventory Controller will work in line with Encyclis procedures to ensure the complete stores area is managed as safely and efficiently as possible including the supply and procurement of materials and parts ensuring they are available to the Operations and Maintenance team. The Stores Inventory Controller is responsible for the full management, safe operation and administration of the Stores facility at the Protos Energy Recovery Facility. What we need from you Promote and support the delivery of Encyclis’s Safety Rules and Safe Systems of Work, and work in accordance with all ACOP’s and site procedures to ensure we are setting people to work safely. Reporting of any Health, Safety and Environmental unsafe conditions, accidents or incidents. The Inventory Controller will ensure effective stores management to include ordering parts and materials, issuing and receiving goods, managing stock levels, conducting stock control audits and generating reports. Coordinate inventory requirements with the Procurement Manager, Maintenance Manager and the Operations and Maintenance team, to ensure the availability and supply of parts, materials and maintenance tools. The Inventory Controller will also be responsible for establishing the site's Stores facility. Develop, implement and maintain stock control procedures and risk assessments. Administer the safe receipt and dispatch of materials to and from the facility, coordinating with suppliers and transport companies to ensure the timely transportation of goods and materials. Receive and manage all associated documentation associated with COSHH, CE Certification, Materials Certificates and any other relevant documentation. Quality checking of items received at the Stores. Handle the management and return of LOLER equipment, including gaining proficiency in inspecting quarantined LOLER equipment. Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure stock records are appropriately managed. Identify high-risk stock items and propose material strategies to mitigate risk. Operate forklift truck and overhead cranes as required. Support the implementation of short and long-term stock management strategies in line with industry best practices and technical procedures. The Inventory Controller will be required to support H&S monitoring and performance to include safety inspections, plant area responsibilities and partake in routine H&S meetings and forums. Take complete ownership of Stores cleanliness and ensure excellent standards of housekeeping are maintained at all times. Maintain accurate records of COSHH substances using computerised systems. Ensure accurate labelling of all items to track and monitor goods issued and received. Carry out full stock checks of materials and parts on a routine basis. Education & Experience Five years of experience, in a related environment. Experience of developing stores systems and procedures. Experience of using a CMMS (or similar) to manage stock. Previous experience of warehouse management. Experience with working with technical and engineering information and drawings. Working knowledge of COSHH. Working knowledge of LOLER. Forklift truck and overhead crane operations, including basic rigging experience, are essential. Experience in an engineering quality assurance role would be highly desirable.
