As our External Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in promoting and protecting the University’s reputation. You’ll produce high-quality, on-brand digital content and coordinate proactive media engagement that amplifies our achievements and showcases the incredible work happening across our community. This is a new role, offering you the exciting opportunity to shape it from the ground up and make your mark on how we share our story with the world. In this role you will: Build and maintain positive relationships with journalists and external stakeholders Secure media coverage that highlights the University’s successes and impact Ensure consistent, engaging messaging across all external channels Work closely with our out-of-house PR agency and our in-house Social Media and Brand team to deliver integrated campaigns that raise our profile Proactively identify news stories and opportunities by collaborating with colleagues across all departments. You’ll sit within the Communications team, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Communications, and receive guidance and leadership to ensure everything aligns with University priorities.
