We’re currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Carpenter to join our team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract in Glasgow. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry repairs and maintenance in void properties, helping ensure residents’ homes are safe, functional, and well maintained. You’ll be responding to a variety of day-to-day repair requests, including tasks such as replacing internal doors, repairing skirting boards and architraves, fitting kitchen units/bathrooms, and carrying out general carpentry works. No two days are the same, and your ability to work efficiently, solve problems on-site, and provide excellent customer service will be essential.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Carry out day-to-day carpentry repairs in void properties as part of a responsive maintenance service
2. Replace and repair internal doors, frames, handles, locks, and hinges
3. Fit and adjust kitchen units, bathrooms, worktops, cupboard doors, and pelmets
4. Install or replace skirting boards, architraves, and other decorative joinery
5. Repair or replace timber flooring, stair components, and handrails where required
6. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
7. Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
Role Criteria:
8. Experience carrying out the above duties
9. Proven experience in a carpentry role
10. City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Carpentry
11. Ability to provide own power tools
12. Full UK driving licence
13. Possesses strong time management and organisational skills
