A great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor, with an emphasis on Employee Relations.
This is a temporary assignment on a fixed-term contract up to 29th August 2025 to cover a sabbatical period of absence, working 4 days a week (32 hours per week) with a start date as soon as possible (subject to satisfactory compliance checks, including right to work check, references, and Enhance DBS check).
As the HR Advisor at Prometheus, you will report to the Head of HR to support and work collaboratively, building effective working relationships with the wider Prometheus team.
The role has a strong focus on employee relations but also provides opportunities to be actively involved in organisational change and resource management.
This is an office-based role (Birmingham, Fort Dunlop).
Main duties of the job
* Be the first point of contact for ER queries, supporting Managers with Employee Relation cases, while assessing any mitigating potential risk.
* Develop effective ongoing relationships at all levels, responding to queries directly and influencing managers to follow best practices.
* Ensure accurate monitoring and recording of the case management system.
* Provide guidance and support on family-friendly matters, including maternity, flexible working, paternity, and adoption.
* Produce required monthly and weekly reports.
* Support the HR team in administering employee lifecycle processes ensuring legal compliance.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, policies, and documentation to align with best practices and legal standards.
* Support the Head of HR in key people strategy projects such as staff surveys and external compliance audits.

Role Overview:
Create and update HR content that is legally compliant and supports the HR function. Train, upskill, and support line management through coaching and training. Create and present data insights for strategic decisions, manage employee relations cases following company policies and procedures.
Maintain effective relationships with the business and uphold high professional standards aligned with ACAS and CIPD codes of conduct.
Champion the company's vision and values, especially as they impact the workforce.
Respond to general queries sent to the HR inbox, owning or escalating as necessary.
Lead longer-term projects that support business growth through HR input.
Support or lead HR training sessions.
Assist with consultations and business restructuring, acting as a point of contact for change-related queries.
