Connifinn Ltd is a small mental health residential care home specializing in the care of individuals who have a forensic history, demonstrate challenging behaviour or are on the supervision register. We provide a homely, family-orientated environment for 8 residents. We have one friendly cats and very large fish tank.
Housemates can expect unconditional, positive regard, respect, dignity, and have full rights to privacy. We are respectful of all religious and cultural needs.
Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible and are supported by staff to achieve their personal goals.
Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds, a majority of whom are graduates or have previous experience that reflects our ethos.
Team members are selected with input from our residents and are therefore encouraged to undertake further training in order to ensure they facilitate and enhance our family-orientated therapeutic model.

Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out duties at all times in a manner consistent with the code of conduct;
* Protecting the confidentiality of all information relating to a Service User, or a Service User's family, and not divulging such information to anyone who is not authorised to receive it;
* Administration and miscellaneous (maintain accurate and up-to-date records in relation to the service provided; attend and participate in staff meetings and team briefings; report accidents, incidents near misses, complaints; attend training)
* Provide emotional and practical support to service users (e.g. tasks connected to everyday living such as cleaning, ironing, washing clothes, planning and preparation of meals, shopping for food, personal care, budget expenses and to record expenditure and income in a manner appropriate to their circumstances; maintain service users health and fitness, and to encourage/support health checks at GP, dentist; maintain their cultural, religious and to attend church etc.; deal with emergency situations; administer prescribed medication and so on)

Education and Qualifications
NVQ level 2 or equivalent, Driving Licence (preferable)
NVQ level 3 or equivalent (Desirable)
Work Experience
Minimum of one year's experience working in a care environment, such as residential care, or community support (Essential).
Experience of working alone. Experience of working with one or more of the following - people with learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, epilepsy and mental ill health (Desirable) .
Knowledge, Skills and Training
Knowledge of local services and community facilities. Excellent IT skills.
The successful candidate will be subject to DBS.
