We’re recruiting on behalf of our friends in Newtown for a Maintenance Engineer working a Pitman shift (6am–6pm).
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping production machinery running efficiently — carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement. From preventative maintenance to hands-on problem-solving, your work will help keep operations running smoothly.
We’re looking for someone with:

Experience in engineering within a manufacturing or food production environment
*
Ability to read and work from engineering schematics (electrical and mechanical)
*
A time-served apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance, plus basic electrical knowledge or qualification
*
A methodical approach and excellent record-keeping
*
Knowledge of power tools, welding equipment, and precision instruments
*
Good computer literacy
*
Strong understanding of food manufacturing requirements
*
High attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
