CAMHS Occupational Therapist *Maternity Cover*

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Mental Health Team (CAMHS) on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
You will join a highly experienced, supportive and forward‑thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care. The team is friendly, collaborative and focused on patient care.
The role involves managing a complex caseload of children and young people with occupational therapy needs, delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions as part of a holistic care plan. You will work closely with families and the wider multidisciplinary team to support recovery and positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with CAMHS experience who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference.
Main duties of the job
* Working clinically as an Occupational Therapist in the Stafford Children's Mental Health Service.
* Delivering a high‑quality clinical service to patients and their families.
* Providing leadership as the Occupational Therapy specialist within the team.
* Managing a complex caseload with occupational therapy specific focus/needs.
* Delivering specialist occupational therapy assessment and interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified population of services users and their families.
Qualifications
* Degree in Occupational Therapy / MSc
* Health and Care Professions Council Registered Occupational Therapist
* Leadership qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
* Highly developed specialist Knowledge across a range of Occupational Therapy interventions and client groups
* Evidence of extensive post registration experience working with young people and their families experiencing mental health difficulties
* Experience of working as an occupational therapist within CAMHS mental health environments
Skills, knowledge and abilities
* Knowledge of Mental Health NICE Guidelines for young people with mental health problems
* A range of skills and knowledge to deliver evidence based interventions.
* Supervisory skills and experience
