Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Clinical Psychologist / Senior Psychotherapist / CBT Therapist. The successful candidate will have experience working alongside therapists from different modalities, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to clients across a range of care settings including community, outpatient and inpatient settings within a multidisciplinary team. The post is based in Leeds and will involve working with a wide variety of client groups across the life course, with adaptations for our diverse population.
You will work collaboratively with the wider team, providing supervision and leadership, collecting outcome measures, and supporting service development. The role includes supervision, teaching, supporting audits, structured clinical case discussions, knowledge of relevant mental health legislation, and leading on specific areas of team/service development.
Main duties
Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs in Leeds. You will supervise and train other psychologists and mental health professionals, contribute to service development, and promote psychologically-informed approaches within the team and across the wider service.

Job responsibilities
We seek an individual to support the creative development of the team, maintain high standards of care, and lead by example. The role requires drawing on a wide range of theoretical approaches from at least two specialised psychological modalities, with excellent communication skills adaptable to clients, families, carers, and colleagues within partnership organisations. Leeds community and wellbeing services are multidisciplinary groups that provide specialist community-focused mental health services to working-age adults. Psychological practitioners provide specialist assessment and interventions and contribute to clinical thinking and decision-making. A key component is supervision, consultation and training for the wider team.
Qualifications & experience
Qualifications (Essential)
* Doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology or counselling psychology (or equivalent prior to 1995) and HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist, or Doctorate in Forensic Psychology with HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist, or Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT with BABCP accreditation, or Masters level qualification in Psychotherapy (Systemic, Psychoanalytic, integrative) with UKCP or equivalent accreditation.
Experience (Essential)
* Experience delivering a range of interventions across care settings, including severe and enduring mental health issues.
* Training and experience in supervision of psychological professionals.
Skills (Essential)
* Experience with complex psychological assessment, intervention and management. Knowledge of at least two specialised therapies for working-age adults. Leadership experience.
