General Manager – Commercial Vehicles
Location: Andover
Basic Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE)
OTE: Up to £84,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week

Why Apply? This is a high-profile General Manager opportunity at a large commercial vehicle site in Andover. With 17–18 Technicians and around 25–30 additional staff on site, you’ll be leading a team of circa 45 people within a well-established, manufacturer-backed business.
The role offers:
Basic salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
OTE of £84,000 per year
Leadership of a large, successful Aftersales operation
Ongoing training, development, and career progression within a major group
The Role As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the performance, culture, and customer experience of the entire dealership site. This includes managing Service, Parts, Workshop, and Invoicing functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving financial performance and long-term growth.
You’ll be the visible leader on site—setting the tone, empowering your team, and ensuring brand and compliance standards are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver strong financial results while maintaining a market-leading customer and colleague experience
Ensure operations meet all FCA, compliance, and brand requirements
Champion customer satisfaction, coaching the team to deliver consistently high standards
Oversee Service, Parts, Workshop, and Admin to maximise efficiency and quality
Inspire, develop, and retain high-performing staff through training, reviews, and progression planning
Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners and stakeholders, ensuring delivery of strategy and compliance with policies
About You We’re looking for a proven automotive leader with a strong track record of success at General Manager or Head of Business level. Ideally, you’ll have commercial vehicle experience, but we’re also open to candidates from a strong Aftersales background who are looking to step up.
You’ll need:
Demonstrable experience in automotive leadership, delivering results through people
Strong knowledge of Service and Parts operations
Proven financial and budgetary management skills
A people-first leadership style with excellent coaching and mentoring ability
The resilience and composure to handle pressure and problem-solve effectively
A customer-first mindset, with the ability to build lasting relationships with OEMs and key partners
