Are you a passionate Food Technology teacher ready to inspire the next generation of chefs, nutritionists, and food innovators? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Chorley on a full-time basis, covering a maternity leave from November 3rd, 2025, for one year.
You'll be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons in Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on healthy eating, nutrition, culinary skills, and food science. The ideal candidate will foster a love of cooking and support students in developing life-long skills.
* Plan and teach high-quality, curriculum-aligned Food Technology lessons
* Deliver practical cooking lessons in a safe and well-equipped environment
* Support students in preparation for GCSE assessments
* Promote healthy lifestyles and food education
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the classroom
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
* Strong knowledge of food safety and practical teaching experience
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A commitment to delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
* Up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
