Reporting to the IT Network Manager, this role contributes towards the day-to-day support and maintenance of the IT equipment and services. The primary function is to provide quality and timely support across the entire company, principally face-to-face but also through phone, email and remote assistance, always maintaining service quality, accuracy and timeliness. 2 positions available Exciting work you will be doing: Provide technical support both in person and via phone or email, in a 1st and 2nd line capacity. Ensure reported technical issues are recorded and prioritised to defined timescales and processes. Assist with the deployment, maintenance and repair of a wide range of IT equipment. Assist with the maintenance of the IT Asset inventory for both hardware and software. Installation and support of business applications, operating systems and online services. Administration of user accounts for the network, Cloud services and software-based systems. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues. Assisting with the running and maintenance of servers and network devices. Working with vendors and consultants to facilitate fault resolution. Contributing to the maintenance and implementation of internal processes and procedures to ensure business continuity in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. Ensuring IT equipment is compliant with Health and Safety requirements and DSE assessments. Lead staff onboarding and workshop sessions for the familiarisation of software and hardware. Promote user adoption through end-user training; self-help materials and technical demonstrations. Preventative maintenance and health checks of hardware, network, software and backups. Monitoring mobile data and call usage, ensuring staff do not exceed reasonable usage levels. Assisting the IT & Telecoms Manager with contract renewals. Assisting in the planning and implementation of IT projects when required. Any other duties commensurate with the role. Employment Specifics: Occasional out-of-hours working for system upgrades. Occasional travel to company satellite sites. Skills required: Prior experience in technical support, desktop support, or a similar role. Self-starter, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Patient and understanding personality. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all levels of staff. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate. Understanding of network technologies and troubleshooting. Experience in supporting the Microsoft 365 suite of applications. Experience in supporting Active Directory, user management, and security permissions. Good working knowledge of computer hardware and associated operating systems.
