The Role
This is a permanent opportunity. We are currently recruiting for a Divisional Commissioning Manager to help deliver our portfolio of projects across the Water I and Waste Water Industry. Location can be from our Maidstone or Midsomer Norton office.
Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday. You have full ownership over your schedule, allowing you to work with a lot of autonomy.
Manage a team of 5-10 people. Coordination with internal and 3rd party teams. Travel to various offices and sites across the region. Report directly to the Delivery Director.
Description
The Divisional Commissioning Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing and developing the commissioning team, ensuring high‑quality delivery of commissioning services across the Division's project portfolio. You will work closely with Delivery, Design, Safety, and Quality teams to guarantee that projects meet client specifications, are technically compliant, and are handed over safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the commissioning team across multiple projects.
* Ensure readiness for commissioning: completed installation, red‑line drawings, signed ITPs, and ATEX inspections.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and ensure alignment with internal governance.
* Collaborate with Project and Regional Managers to develop commissioning plans.
* Develop and implement Process Commissioning strategies for water and wastewater treatment systems.
* Audit and review commissioning documentation for accuracy and completeness.
* Provide feedback to Estimating team for improved cost planning.
* Conduct skills gap analysis and manage recruitment and training needs.
* Deliver regular VIP reviews and development plans for team members.
* Promote cross‑training for supervisors to expand team versatility.
* Ensure shared learning across departments including SHEQ and Delivery.
* Provide accurate and timely reporting on commissioning status, issues, and documentation.
* Ensure control and consistency of documentation, including digital tools and document control methods.
* Ensure compliance with Bridges' safety policies and procedures.
* Promote a safety‑first culture within the commissioning team.
* Maintain vigilance around information security and report suspicious behaviour or security incidents in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications
* IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
* Electrical Test & Inspect certification.
* CCNSG (or similar).
* EUSR (or similar qualifications).
* Emergency First Aid or First Aider.
* Fitness for Work medical clearance.
Desirable Skills
* ECS Gold Card.
* Process Commissioning knowledge associated with the water and waste industries specifically in and around the treatment and pumping processes.
* Control Philosophy, Software and PLC understanding.
* Telemetry commissioning.
* PROFIBUS Commissioning.
* Ethernet Network Commissioning.
