Hawkedon & Homefield Vets are looking for a friendly, organised, and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming team on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every visit to our practice is a positive one.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
Managing phone calls, emails, and appointment bookings
Handling payments and maintaining accurate client records
Managing debt control processes in line with practice procedures
Handling pet insurance claims, including liaising with clients, insurers, and the clinical team
Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties

More about you
Successful candidates will be approachable, courteous, have good organisational skills, an excellent telephone manner and problem-solving abilities. You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as independently, with the ability to work well under pressure. It is essential that you can handle sensitive conversations around payment and insurance with professionalism and discretion. Previous experience within the veterinary industry is ideal but not essential.
Your shift pattern
This is part time role, working 25 hours over a 5-day week.
