MHA is now expanding its digital learning capability and looking for a friendly, creative and passionate Digital Learning Design Apprentice to help bring their e‑learning projects in‑house. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive team, make a real impact and grow your skills in a meaningful sector.
As a Digital Learning Designer Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining digital learning materials that support professional development across MHA. You’ll help shape their growing e‑learning portfolio and contribute to exciting new projects that improve training for staff across the organisation.
This is a hybrid role with at least one day per week in the Derby office, and the rest of the time working from home. If you prefer more office time, you’re welcome to come in as often as you like.

Entry requirements
To join this apprenticeship, you’ll need:
* GCSE Maths and English at grade C / Level 4 or above
* Curiosity, creativity and the motivation to develop new digital skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck into hands‑on projects
You don’t need previous experience — passion and the right attitude matter most. The ideal apprentice will:
* Have a genuine passion for learning and an interest in digital learning design
* Be confident working independently, with strong self‑motivation
* Bring creativity and fresh ideas, and enjoy trying new things
* Have some IT confidence (helpful but not essential)
* Be eager to learn new tools, software and design techniques

Things to consider
Hybrid role, with at least 1 day per week in the Derby office. Salary will be £7491 for the first six months, rising to £8613 for the second six months, for a salary of £16,104 for the first year.
Future prospects
This is a hybrid role, with at least one day per week in the Derby office and the rest of the week working from home. You’re also welcome to spend more time in the office if you prefer. The apprenticeship comes with a clear and supportive salary progression:
Months 1–6: £8,658
Months 7–12: £9,957
Total Year 1 Salary: £18,615
Year 2 Salary: £24,892
