About the Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced housing professional who wants to make a real impact. You will have the chance to help shape the way the service operates, put your own stamp on day‑to‑day practices, and contribute to the development of a responsive, resident‑focused housing management offer.
As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a comprehensive housing management service for our general needs properties and act as a key point of contact for tenants. The role is varied and rewarding, covering the full range of neighbourhood housing functions, including:
* Allocations, sign‑ups and new tenancy set‑up
* Tenancy and estate management
* Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) case management
* Managing and minimising voids
* Supporting tenancy sustainment and early intervention
* Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners
You will also have the freedom and responsibility to help shape processes, improve ways of working and influence how the team develops as the service grows.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in general needs housing management within a council or housing association setting
* Is confident managing a varied caseload across different housing functions
* Takes a practical, solutions‑focused approach and enjoys working closely with residents
* Is keen to contribute ideas, improve services and help develop a growing team
* Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
