Front End Engineer, Business Data Technologies
Amazon’s eCommerce Foundation (eCF) organization is responsible for the core components that drive the Amazon website and customer experience. Serving millions of customer page views and orders per day, eCF builds for scale. The Business Data Technologies (BDT) group within eCF collects petabytes of data from various sources inside and outside Amazon, including the catalog system, inventory system, customer order system, website page views, and Alexa systems. BDT supports Amazon subsidiaries such as IMDB and Audible, providing interfaces for internal customers to access and query data using AWS services like Redshift, Hive, Spark, and Oracle. We build scalable solutions that grow with Amazon’s business.
As BDT grows and the data processing landscape evolves, our data is consumed by thousands of Amazon teams including Research Scientists, Machine Learning Specialists, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers. We are developing an enterprise-wide Big Data Marketplace leveraging AWS technologies, enabling teams to produce analytical data in various storage formats and process it using different compute environments such as EMR/Spark, Redshift, Athena, and others. Our innovative products include next-generation data catalog, discovery engine, data transformation platform, and more, with a focus on state-of-the-art user experience. We seek top leaders to design and build these solutions from the ground up.
