Job Description
What you will do:
1. Recommend and implement pricing and underwriting changes to meet volume and profit targets across all products, channels, and brands.
2. Develop an understanding of the market and bring relevant insights to the Pricing Team.
3. Build and update risk and retail models using Radar, Emblem, and data science techniques.
4. Implement rate changes promptly and in a controlled manner, ensuring compliance and audit standards.
5. Monitor business performance metrics such as conversion, retention, loss ratios, and rate effectiveness.
6. Analyze data assets and external sources to inform pricing strategies.
7. Understand differences across esure products and their analysis.
Qualifications
We would love you to have:
1. Proven analysis experience and knowledge of UK Motor & Home Insurance markets.
2. Degree or equivalent with strong numeracy skills.
3. Knowledge of pricing and modelling techniques.
4. Experience with statistical and data science techniques (e.g., Regression, Clustering, GBMs).
5. Proficiency with SAS, Python, or insurance pricing software like Radar and Emblem.
6. Strong organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills.
7. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and produce concise reports.

2. First-stage interview with Head of Pricing and a senior team member, including technical questions.
3. Second-stage interview with team members.
