What You’ll Be Doing

Join us on this mission as a Mechanical Design Engineer working within our Product Safety team.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of Martin-Baker product portfolios through investigations resulting in corrective and proactive continuous improvement of designs and processes.
This includes generating design concepts in line with regulatory and customer requirements and in line with the engineering specification, including associated international and military standards as well as MBA requirements. It also requires the production of commercially viable product definition information (PDI) including 3D models, detail, and assembly engineering drawings.
You will also be responsible for effective workload planning, generation of technical calculations and corresponding reports, design reviews and presentations is also required to support the development of the design. As is the necessity to work effectively with internal and external customers to achieve the optimum design through in-depth consultation with all project stakeholders.

Characteristics & Skills
* Committed to the highest standards.
* Good knowledge of materials and process used in the aerospace sector or equivalent.
* Experience of full engineering process, ideally gained from specifying, designing, testing, validating and supporting products.
* Problem solving or investigative knowledge.
* Have an eye for detail and getting things right.

Education & Qualifications
* 1st / 2.1 Mechanical Engineering Degree Accredited by IMechE
* 1st / 2.1 Aerospace Engineering Degree
