The Role – What You’ll Do The Administrative Support Officer provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Psychological Therapies Service, enabling the wider team to function efficiently. The role includes documentation, scheduling, correspondence, database management, and reception support, all under the supervision of the Administrative Team Lead. This role would suit an organised and proactive administrator who shares Oakdale’s values and is keen to contribute to a supportive, professional environment. Key Duties Provide administrative support to staff and associates under the supervision of the Administrative Team Lead. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and telephone calls. Maintain and update filing systems, both digital and physical. Schedule meetings, appointments, and manage calendars for the clinical team. Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation. Support data entry and ensure accurate use of Oakdale databases. Provide reception cover, greeting and supporting visitors, taking payments, liaising with clients and practitioners. Ensure adherence to Oakdale policies and procedures. Undertake other administrative tasks as assigned by the Administrative Team Lead. Working Pattern Requirements Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 1:30pm - 8:30pm Tuesday 1:30pm - 9.00pm Alternate Saturdays 8:30am - 2.00pm Flexibility may be required to cover annual leave or service demands. Full time or part time may be considered About You Key Skills and Attributes Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Professional demeanor with a positive attitude. Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Proficiency in Google Workspace (or equivalent office software). Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable. Experience of working in a healthcare, counselling, or clinical environment is advantageous.
