About the Role:
TSR Legal are pleased to be seeking a dedicated and experienced Wills and Probate Paralegal to join a friendly and well-established high street practice based in Treorchy. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a supportive local firm with a strong community presence.
You will be assisting in a broad range of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
* Assisting with probate applications and estate administration
* Liaising with clients, HMRC, the Probate Registry, and other third parties
* Managing your own caseload under supervision
* Supporting solicitors and fee earners in more complex matters
* Ensuring all work is compliant with SRA and firm standards
* File management and legal research as required
* Taking instructions and conducting initial client meetings (as appropriate)
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a paralegal in a wills and probate or private client department (minimum 1 year preferred)
* Good working knowledge of relevant legal processes and procedures
* Excellent client care and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficiency with case management systems and MS Office
* A relevant legal qualification (Law degree, LPC or equivalent) is desirable
