Technical Coordinator – Structural Waterproofing

Our client is a specialist in structural and basement waterproofing and ground gas protection systems, focusing on below-ground structures and podium decks.
They are seeking a proactive and motivated Technical Coordinator – Structural Waterproofing to act as the essential link between site-based challenges and the in-house technical team.
This hybrid role combines office-based technical coordination with occasional site visits, supporting design reviews, resolving site issues, and ensuring outstanding client service across all stages of structural waterproofing projects.

Our client is looking for a motivated and reliable individual who is keen to develop their career within structural waterproofing and construction. You'll be practical, organised, and confident in communicating with both site teams and office-based colleagues.
Experience Required
Around 12 months of CAD experience
Or/and
1–2 years' experience within a construction environment (ideal for junior to mid-level candidates)
Essential Requirements
Full, clean driving licence
GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English
Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine eagerness to learn and progress
Confident team player with the ability to work independently when required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Competent IT skills, including experience using technical software and CRM systems
Desirable
CSSW qualification (preferred, but not essential – training can be supported for the right candidate)
What will your role look like?
Act as the technical contact for site-based issues, gathering information, investigating problems, and liaising with the technical team
Attend construction sites to assess installation issues, investigate defects, and provide accurate data for reporting
Support troubleshooting and resolution of live project challenges
Review architectural and structural drawings, providing waterproofing design input in line with BS8102:2022
Assist in preparing technical proposals, drawing mark-ups, and quotations
Attend design and coordination meetings with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers
Assist with onboarding and technical training of new employees
Deliver toolbox talks and informal on-site training for installers and contractors
Maintain accurate CRM records, including project details, contacts, and technical notes
Prepare site visit reports, photographic documentation, and technical records
Record site work for warranties
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards (BS8102, NHBC Chapter 5.4, BBA requirements)
Attend manufacturer and internal training sessions
Provide feedback from site experience to improve installation practices and detailing
Monitor compliance with project specifications and quality standards
Highlight technical risks to support resource planning and manage client expectations
Carry out other duties as required by the business
