Start Date: September 2025

Job Type: Full time, Whole Time, Permanent

Salary (Actual Salary): £27,254 - £28,142 (Grade 5, SCP 9 - 11)

About The Academy

Outwood Academy Redcar welcomes students aged 11-16, located in the coastal town of Redcar near Middlesbrough in the North-East region.

About The Role

We invite applications from enthusiastic and flexible ICT support specialists to join our existing ICT support team. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of hardware and software, be highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Experience in an ICT support role or similar is advantageous.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

* Manage own workload through the allocation of calls via the helpdesk;
* Provide first-line ICT support to staff and students;
* Assist with maintenance of all ICT rooms and equipment;
* Assist with general technical support for the ICT department;
* Assist with evaluation of new and existing software;
* Attend and contribute to ICT-related meetings;
* Develop recording systems for ICT usage throughout the department;
* Keep ICT software/hardware inventories up to date;
* Provide technical support for staff presentations;
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety legislation;
* Commission, maintain, test, and repair electronic/computer systems and AV equipment, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation;
* Install and configure software under the direction of the network manager.
