This role is for a Cleaning Operative. This will involve you in carrying out normal cleaning duties.
The role of the Cleaning Operative is to ensure the overall cleanliness of the retail park and supporting the Security & Cleaning Operations Manager, and Centre Management in ensuring that the retail park is a safe and pleasant environment for our customers at all times.
As a Cleaning Operative, you will oversee the delivery of cleaning services to client facilities, ensuring a high standard is maintained throughout the building. Your responsibilities will include managing general cleaning duties.
Areas covered include Management areas, Service yards and retail park concourses including all car park areas.
Tasks include dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, spot cleaning glass doors and windows, processing general waste through a compactor, processing cardboard through a baling machine, collection and maintaining large waste bins, maintaining bins on retail park, cleaning all paved areas using scrubber / dryer machines, maintaining frontages of units and associated building fabric.
Key Responsibilities
· Supporting the Soft Services Manager in achieving the Centre's aims and objectives for Cleanliness.
· Ensure all aspects of health and safety are followed, in particular those identified within the personnel and procedures manual.
· Assist in the evacuation of the retail park in an emergency in accordance with the retail park evacuation plan.
· Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues to the Centre Management team that may be seen when working on site.

· Experience in the provision of Cleaning services in a busy retail park environment.

· Produce and record information to contribute to the performance monitoring process, routine area checks and audits.
· Monitor and manage stock levels and carry out ordering when needed
· Comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and emergency procedures as required
Required
· Good Knowledge of COSHH
· Previous cleaning experience
· Health & Safety and manual handling within a cleaning environment
Desirable
· Cleaning experience within a retail park.
· Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
· Basic knowledge of H&S legislation. IOSHH Qualification.
· First Aid at Work
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist in cleaning services provided by cleaning team.
· Oversee the cleaning of restrooms and shower areas, including sanitising fixtures, mirrors, cubicles, and floors
· Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
· Monitor the cleanliness, sanitation, and organisation of assigned areas
· support the cleaning team to ensure optimum service delivery to clients
· Perform additional duties as required, within reason
