About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. If you are looking for flexible working that can fit around your lifestyle, we will work with you on your shifts. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and flexibility around your work pattern may be needed.
Our in-store Pharmacies are hugely popular with customers, and they will expect the same warmth and friendliness they get everywhere else in the store – as well as confidence and relaxed discussion of personal health issues, quick resolution of customer problems, and guidance to the right products. You will also be responsible for accurately assembling and processing prescriptions. It will also be your responsibility to drive awareness of all the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc.). You will develop an understanding of the strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as customers expect nothing less. You will also collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries on behalf of customers and bring them to the store ready for collection. We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague – you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then move on to train as a Dispensing Assistant, completing your pharmacy training.

You are naturally friendly, highly organised, and eager to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, and communicate well with customers. You love problem solving, are passionate about helping people, and care about giving customers a great healthcare experience by helping them find what they need and having a chat along the way.
