What you'll be doingLead hydrological strategy across water resources and drought planning, including hydrological inputs to statutory Drought PlansPlay a key leadership role in drought response, acting as a principal hydrological contact and leading tactical and strategic workstreamsOversee hydrological analysis, modelling and reporting, ensuring data drives innovative, practical solutionsManage complex, high‑impact projects, from drought permit preparation to data visualisation and insightInfluence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the Environment Agency and internal decision-makersTranslate complex science into clear, actionable insight that supports confident business decisions About youYou'll bring a strong blend of technical credibility and leadership capability, with the confidence to operate in a fast‑moving, high‑stakes environment.Proven experience in hydrology or water resources managementStrong analytical and scientific expertise, with a strategic mindsetInspirational leader, able to motivate and develop specialist teamsExcellent communicator, skilled at simplifying complex informationConfident stakeholder manager with strong influencing skillsFull UK driving licence required - You'll be based in the office 1-2 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home or in another of our offices for the remainder of the time.
