We're Hiring: Rental Service Manager – South West Depot
Location: South West | Hours: Full-Time, Permanent | Salary: £65,000
Are you an experienced Service Manager with a strong technical background in generators, plant hire, or heavy equipment? We're looking for a hands-on leader to drive reliability, uptime, and operational excellence across our generator rental fleet.
What you'll do:
Lead a team of Service Controllers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver top-notch service.
Own and optimise preventative maintenance programmes and emergency breakdown response.
Ensure fleet reliability, safety, compliance, and availability across all depots.
Drive continuous improvement, service KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
Act as the go-to escalation point for high-impact service incidents.
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in a Service Manager or senior service leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators and electrical systems.
Skilled in managing maintenance programmes and 24/7 breakdown response.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Calm under pressure, highly organised, and solutions-focused.
