Principal Pricing Analyst (Retail Pricing – Personal Lines)
Locations: Peterborough, Manchester, Stoke, Southport, Kent, London, Cambridgeshire
Working style: Hybrid and largely remote options available
We’re hiring a Principal Pricing Analyst to lead pricing strategy, performance frameworks and high-profile initiatives across a diverse personal lines portfolio. This is a leadership role for someone who can set direction, influence senior stakeholders and raise pricing capability across the function.
What you’ll be doing...
* Own and shape pricing solutions and strategic frameworks aligned to business goals
* Lead the development of portfolio performance monitoring, risk modelling and predictive analytics capability
* Drive major strategic initiatives and tactical pricing interventions end-to-end
* Provide technical and commercial oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring quality and governance
* Partner with Underwriting, Technical Modelling, Data and wider stakeholders to deliver cross-functional outcomes
* Champion innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across tools, methods and processes
* Coach, mentor and develop analysts; provide leadership across projects and/or teams
What we’re looking for...
* Strong experience in General Insurance Pricing (personal lines) with evidence of commercial impact
* Advanced coding capability across Python, R, SQL, PySpark and/or SAS
* Deep experience with modern modelling approaches: GLMs, GBMs, Decision Trees, Neural Nets, Clustering
* Working knowledge of WTW Radar and/or Emblem
* Confident leadership skills: shaping strategy, leading projects/teams, influencing across functions
* Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong commercial mindset
