Data Analyst
Join SP Electricity North West, a leading distribution network operator in the UK, as a Data Analyst. Your work will support safe, efficient, and customer‑focused operations across our 2.4m homes and businesses.
Our Role
As a Data Analyst, you will develop and maintain business rules, processes, and data quality checks across GIS, asset registers, and our Network Management System. You will design and implement analytical processes to identify and correct data errors, build high‑quality data products, and train team members on system updates and data accuracy standards.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree (or equivalent) in a mathematical discipline such as mathematics, science, engineering, or physical geography
* Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, FME, Alteryx)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and desktop GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo)
* Strong data analysis and manipulation skills
* Understanding of electricity distribution networks and substation layouts (desirable)
* Familiarity with databases and SQL (desirable)
* Knowledge of electrical modelling and functions like tracing and Load Flow (desirable)
* Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills
* Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions
* A forward‑thinking, flexible, and independent mindset
