About the Role
We are recruiting for a leading materials handling and recycling business seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join their busy site. You will be a key part of the team, responsible for operating a range of machinery to safely move and manage materials, maintain stockpiles, load vehicles, and ensure yard operations run efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out pre-start checks on fixed and mobile plant, ensuring all equipment is safe
Operate plant machinery in a controlled, safe, and cost-effective manner
Reduce contamination - stockpile effectively
Carry out routine maintenance
Minimise waste and report any defects
Load vehicles safely and move stock according to yard plans
Keep yard clean
Work collaboratively to ensure quality output and meet target volumes
Act as a role model for Health & Safety, contributing to a safe and proactive working culture
Take pride in all work completed and demonstrate determination to succeed
What We're Looking For
Experience operating plant machinery safely and efficiently
Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements on-site
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement
Positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
