Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Inpatient & Outreach Team at Royal Bolton Hospital. The post holder will assist the qualified therapists by delivering a range of clinical and non-clinical duties to provide routine therapy and ensure the delivery of a high quality service. They will prepare therapeutic materials as required and undertake administrative tasks related to the workload. They must have the appropriate communication skills to engage with patients, carers and the wider MDT. This role is predominantly community based midweek, with duties on the orthopaedic wards (trauma and elective) and participation in the weekend rota service.
Responsibilities
* Assist qualified therapists in delivering a range of clinical and non-clinical duties to support routine therapy and high-quality service delivery.
* Prepare therapeutic materials and undertake administrative tasks related to the workload.
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Work across community settings and orthopaedic wards (trauma and elective) as part of the weekend rota.
Requirements
* Appropriate skills to communicate with patients, carers and the MDT.
* Ability to assist in delivering therapeutic activities and prepare materials as required.
* Administrative competencies to support workload management.
* Availability for predominantly community-based work midweek, with ward duties and weekend rota participation.
