Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Second Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Support the Head Chef in the every day running of the kitchen.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
* Monitor kitchen performance and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and quality.
Skills
* Proven experience in a culinary role with strong food production skills.
* Supervising experience in a kitchen environment, demonstrating effective team management abilities.
* Expertise in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines.
* Strong leadership qualities, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain high hygiene standards.
* Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with an understanding of hospitality principles.
