Property Underwriters Required - Leeds (Hybrid Working)
We are pleased to be working with an ambitious MGA who have grown impressively over the last few years and as a result have created a number of brand new roles to be based from their Leeds City Centre offices. They are keen to speak to individuals with commercial property based underwriting experience or a more generally “property based” underwriting experience, which could be commercial or residential.
There a currently a number of roles available which includes “Property Underwriters”, “Senior Property Underwriters “and “Non-Standard Property Underwriters”.
In this role, you will be dealing with new, existing and renewal cases via multi product and multi distribution channels including e-trade, sub cover holder and open market brokers. We are looking for underwriters who enjoy “trading” with their brokers and have a natural inclination to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
Your role will be to underwrite the full range of the company’s property insurance products (mostly non-standard risks) from all distributions, making sure you achieve both new business and renewals GWP income targets.
Ideal applicants will need to have at least 1 years plus Commercial Property underwriting experience, gained in an MGA or Insurer or Lloyds syndicate. Progress towards CII studies would be beneficial and will be fully supported. This is a professional and enjoyable “team oriented” environment with flexible, partly home working available.
These roles comes with and excellent basic salary ranging from £28k to 45k per annum + a comprehensive benefits package which includes a performance, pension, life insurance, PMI etc.
This role is Monday to Friday, no weekends, flexible working, part home / part office.
