Deputy SENCO - Secondary School - Perry Barr (B42)
Location: Perry Barr, Birmingham (B42)
Pay: £120 - £135 per day (PAYE - no umbrella deductions)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

Long Term Futures is working with a thriving secondary school in Perry Barr to recruit a proactive Deputy SENCO. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about driving inclusive practice and ensuring students with additional needs receive the support they deserve.
Responsibilities
* Deputise for the SENCO to oversee the day-to-day running of the SEN department
* Lead annual EHCP reviews, ensuring paperwork is accurate and up to date
* Write and review SEN support plans tailored to student needs
* Submit requests for EHCP assessments and liaise with local authorities
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies
* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom practice
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience leading or supporting in a SEND role (Deputy SENCO, SENCO, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of EHCP processes, reviews, and SEN legislation
* Experience supporting secondary-aged students with a range of additional needs
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with colleagues and external professionals
