General Summary
The PTA will provide direct treatment services under the supervision of a physical therapist following the documented patient treatment plan. They will aid in the development/ coordination of intervention plans and adapt activities according to the needs of the patient as well as appropriately document treatment services.
Main Responsibilities
* Adheres to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice
* Participates with physical therapist in developing patient treatment plans
* Administers a variety of exercises and interventions following the documented patient treatment plan
* Observes and records the effectiveness of intervention, and document patients progress
* Proposes modification of specific intervention procedures to physical therapist
* Coordinates treatment schedule with Physical Therapist
* Explains treatment techniques to patients
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment/and equipment
* Build quality relationships with patients, physicians/providers, and co-workers
Education / Experience / Knowledge
* Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy
* Valid PTA license
* 0-2 Years’ experience
* Knowledge of physical therapy principles, theory, methods and their application in an patient centered environment
* Must possess good diagnostic and clinical skills
* Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
* Must possess excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
