We are recruiting a Landscape Labourer to learn all aspects of garden construction and landscaping. Established in 2007, we work all over the north west designing and building premium, bespoke gardens for our clients using the best quality materials.
No experience is necessary but the successful candidate will be ready and willing to learn all aspects of the industry, and will have an interest in garden construction and landscaping. We work predominantly outside in all weathers and due to the nature of the work we need the successful candidate to be able to cope with strenuous labour. The usual hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday but there is occasional optional overtime at weekends. Rate of pay will start at minimum wage, with the opportunity to increase this through the company skill levels and competency framework.
The duties include garden clearance and soil movement, lifting and carrying, mixing, barrowing and assisting the team on site as required. As the role progresses we would like the successful candidate to learn a wide range of skills including laying turf, walling, fencing, paving, chainsaw operation and general garden maintenance. Enthusiasm to learn and willingness to be part of the team are essential and in return we will provide a welcoming workplace and opportunities to learn a fantastic trade.
Although this job is advertised in the Ormskirk area, we work in various locations all over the north west so a full, clean driving licence and own car are essential. Unfortunately, candidates without their own car will not be considered. We offer a mileage contribution to cover any commutes of more than 20 miles each way.
