Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.
We are now recruiting for a Lab Technician to join us. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent and high-quality production of our products. The role is working principally Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift role, 40 hours a week. Normal working shifts are 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm. These are flexible and can change with the business needs.
Key Accountabilities:
* Complete general laboratory preparation and analysis
* Conduct analytical and microbiological sampling
* Apply techniques to ensure product consistency and high quality
* Utilise media and laboratory equipment effectively
* Record and report results accurately
* Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Experience and Key Attributes:
* Recent university graduate or individual with laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
* Previous knowledge and understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Flexibility to work different shifts as required
