Speciality Doctor - WAM Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to join the Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead Community Mental Health Team within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

WAM CMHT provides mental health care for working-age adults across a diverse population of around 153,000, working closely with Prospect Park Hospital inpatient services, Early Intervention in Psychosis, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, and other specialist services to ensure seamless care.

You’ll join a well-established multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and support staff. The medical team comprises two Consultant Psychiatrists and SAS colleagues, fostering collaborative working and cross-cover arrangements.

The post is based at a newly refurbished facility in Maidenhead town centre, with excellent transport links via the Elizabeth Line and M4 corridor. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead offers outstanding schools, cultural attractions, and beautiful outdoor spaces along the River Thames and Chiltern Hills.

Berkshire Healthcare is rated Outstanding by the CQC, ranks among the best nationally for staff survey results, and is a leader in digital maturity and quality improvement. In 2021, we placed 4th among 48 community and mental health trusts for research recruitment. We have refreshed our research strategy and seek enthusiastic colleagues to help develop and implement our programme.
